The DeGroote MBA Case Competition (DCC) delves into how organizations can leverage technology and digital innovation to make their businesses, services, and products, better. It is held in the month of November at McMaster University in Ontario. This competition requires students to solve 3 cases over a course of 2 days. These include a social media video challenge, a 90-minute case followed by a 10-minute presentation, and a 3-hour case cracking challenge. A team of 4 members is allowed. DeGroote Innovations Solutions Case Competition is focused on Innovation in Digital Transformation and Community Engagement. The event consisted of 2 rounds which began on November 4th, 2022 and went on till November 13th, 2022.

The first round is a week-long case in which the teams have to present in 15 minutes followed by a 5-minute Q & A. The second round is a 3-hour case in which the teams again have to present in 15 minutes followed by a 10-minute Q & A. The team put in a lot of effort and did a great job in the competition representing JMSB. Anne Morinville and Jesse Prent coached and supported the team throughout their preparation for the competition.

Congratulations to team “Libertas Consulting” for their excellent performance at the DeGroote Innovative Solutions Challenge hosted by McMaster University.

This is a two-round case competition aimed at bringing together universities across Canada to compete in solving a real-world business problem through digital innovation, agility, and community engagement. This year, the contestants prepared and presented to the top leadership at Schneider Electric Canada, their recommendations to tackle the issue of ‘The great resignation’ at Schneider Electric. post the global pandemic.

After 2 grueling rounds of solving the case and fielding questions, Team JMSB represented by Bharti K, Sraddha M, Aravindhan BS, and Aswin TP finished on the podium, making the top 3!

2019 Team – 1st Place

After 2 days of an intense competition team, 4MC took home first place!

In addition, JMSB’s Félix Saint-Denis also won first place with his mixed team on the Day 1 of the competition!
