Past Events – Fall 2019

Internal Event

Every year in the winter term, the MBACCC organizes a case competition for the students enrolled in the JMSB MBA (Master of Business Administration) program. The competition provides the students with the opportunity to implement their in-class learnings to solve real-world business problems; usually provided by the sponsors of the competition. The competition also presents networking opportunities for the students and the sponsors.

This year’s competition- a daylong event held took place at the JMSB MB building  on 12th March 2022. The conclusion of the case competition was by networking cocktail at the Winston Churchill Pub. A week before the competition, all the 8 participating teams were provided with the case by our sponsors- PMP Consulting. The final submissions from all competing teams were due a day before the competition i.e., on 11th March. The teams submitted their recommendation decks for the mandate- recommending “Omnichannel strategy for Wawanesa Insurance” to the MBACCC.

Out of the 8 teams, 2 teams were chosen to present in the finals and ultimately one winner, one runner up and 2 honorable mentions were chosen at the end who were awarded cash prizes. The winners were announced at the cocktail event and all the participants, the MBACCC club members, judges and sponsors had a great networking session at the Winston Churchill club.

Not only, the participants showed stellar performance in the case competition but were equally enthusiastic about various games being played at the event. Some of the great pictures from the event are a part of this newsletter edition and we are sure that you would have a great time looking at them. We are thankful to everyone who made the event a great success especially our biggest cheerleaders our MBA cohort and our judges whose continuous support makes every event memorable and encourages the MBACCC team to organize such great events.

The Perfect Pitch: An MBA Holiday Party

In collaboration with the JMSB MBA Society, we are proud to present: The Perfect Pitch: An MBA Holiday Party.

After an intense semester of studying and cracking cases, there’s no better way to unwind than to have fun with friends. This is a casual event so you can leave your blazer at home !

The evening will begin with a short introduction on tips and tricks to deliver the best pitch. Then, attendees with have the opportunity to practice these tips in a relaxed environment. The idea is to have a social night that is interrupted every 15 minutes for guests to compete in humorous one-minute public speaking games.

The winners of each round will get a prize, with a special grand prize awarded at the end of the event.
